FASHION | Holiday Outfit Ideas

As soon as December 1st came around, it instantly became holiday party season. I don't know about you, but the weekends become booked up super quickly with get-togethers, work parties, family dinners, etc. Personally, I love it because I have an excuse to get dressed up.

The first holiday celebration I went to was one of my best friend's, who always knows how to throw a classy soiree. This is what I wore:

So in the spirit of stylish holidays, I thought I might put together a few outfits to inspire you this season when getting dressed for your fancy shindigs.

LAUNCH | The Collection - Starring Kate Bosworth

Topshop launched their latest collaboration, this time with the gorgeous Kate Bosworth. She stars in The Collection, the winter capsule collection featuring pieces that perfectly reflect her own personal style, combining masculine and feminine, over-sized and fitted.

REVIEWS | The Prom Book by Lauren Metz

It's that time of year again for you high school folks: Prom. And as an employee working a retail job, I see so many of you girls looking for your dresses and I'm a little envious - I wish I had fancy occasions to get all dolled up for (aka an excuse to buy lovely new dresses...). Anyways, I remember those good old times, especially those weeks leading up to the big night - the excitement, the anticipation...and the stress.

TEEN VOGUE FASHION UNIVERSITY 2012 | Part 9: Topshop Shopping Soiree

The second shopping party for us Teen Vogue Fashion U attendees was at the Topshop store in Soho. There was a section of the store closed off just for us, with a candy bar, mocktails, and treats. We also received a 20% discount for the evening (I didn't go too crazy because I do happen to also work at the Topshop in Toronto...) and there were some different stations throughout the store for photos and makeovers. I always love the TVFU shopping soirees, they really know how to throw a party :)

I met Robert at last year's TVFU so I was super happy to be reunited with him!

OSHEAGA 2012 - Day 2

Day 2 was a big day - aka the day I would see Snoop Dogg, or the newly reincarnated Snoop Lion, perform. I'm not too sure why I have this love for him, but I was really looking forward to seeing him live. It was even hotter than Day 1, but I was fine with the intense heat...one of my goals was to get tanned, so that was a bonus. Check out my photos from Day 2:

The Black Lips performed and brought their crazy live set to the Tree Stage. Cole (turquoise shirt) even puked on stage and kept on going like a champ. I interviewed Jared and Cole after their set, stay tuned for a Q&A post.

And then for my favourite...SNOOP DOGG! I was so happy that I somehow got a spot in the front row and got to enjoy Drop It Like It's Hot, along with his other classics, up close.

Topshop Is On Its Way!

Just a quick update!

As you all probably already knew, The Bay began carrying Topshop, making the popular U.K. clothing line available for downtown Torontonians. But on October 5th, an actual Topshop store will be opening and making its presence known in the fabulous Yorkdale Mall.

I know everyone is super excited for opening day, especially since there will be exclusive items as well as beauty makeovers and a photo booth. You even get a discount if you show a student ID card!

And to promote the opening event, the Topshop truck was wandering throughout the city and I happened to walk by one right on Ryerson's campus on Gould Street!

I'm not sure if I will be able to attend, because of school, but I'm sure it will be an great event to check out if you have the time!
