MY LIFE | Toronto Visit

I love making spontaneous visits back to Canadaland (spontaneous meaning, I was homeless for a bit in NYC so I needed somewhere to go...that story another time). I got to go see some pals in Toronto and have some much-needed relaxation time.

FOOD | Cooking with Master Chef's Graham Elliot

During my visit to Toronto, I got the chance to participate in a cooking class—and not just any cooking class (actually, I think this was my first official cooking class....). I was taught by the one and only Graham Elliot, one of the culinary geniuses from Master Chef. Partnering with Walmart Canada, the event was a fun class full of great food, wine and people. The products we used from Walmart were so fresh and were seriously delicious.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Ageless Glamour

During my second semester at NYU, I took a photojournalism class that ended with an exhibit reception featuring our final projects. Inspired by the documentary Advanced Style and street style photographers Ari Seth Cohen and Bill Cunningham, I took a look at some of NYC's most stylish ladies and presented a series titled Ageless Glamour.

MY LIFE | NY1 Internship Experience

If you're a broadcast journalism student looking for an internship in NYC, I highly recommend NY1 News. I spent 10 weeks with the living unit at NY1 (arts/entertainment/lifestyle features) and it was such a great experience. I've done a bunch of internships in the past, and this is definitely one of the best. It was very hands-on and everyone was incredibly encouraging and supportive. You have the opportunity to try different things and meet people from other departments.

Take a look into my NY1 internship experience:

THEATRE | The Way We Get By

On my last day at my internship with NY1, I checked out a press preview of The Way We Get By, a new off-Broadway play starring Thomas Sadoski and Amanda Seyfried.

The story follows two main characters, Doug and Beth, after a drunken wedding reception. The awkwardness of "the morning after" right up on stage for your enjoyment, sounds pretty great doesn't it?

We even shared some laughs.
