My MTV VMA Red Carpet Experience

Thanks to 1iota (an awesome company that gets fans up close at some of the biggest events), I got the chance to be a part of this year's MTV Video Music Awards action in Brooklyn. I got to be a part of the audience to stand along the red carpet as the stars arrived for the big event. I was super excited. It was a long day, but well worth the waiting in the intense heat amongst tons of other people. I ended up in a pretty good spot and saw some of my faves up close and personal.

It was honestly such an inspiration being there on the carpet across from the journalists who I hope to be someday. My dream would be to be on that side of the carpet, interviewing the stars, rather than just as a fan — but I'm definitely not complaining, I still had an amazing time!

Highlights from the carpet:
- Got a high-five from Robin Thicke
- Saw the legendary Daft Punk
- Breathed the same air as Pharrell
- Witnessed a moment between 2 Chainz and Richard Simmons

 In my element...seriously, I was so happy.

Ariana Grande is so adorable. She did a pre-show performance on the carpet. Have you heard her new album 'Yours Truly'?! She's actually so talented.

MuchMusic Video Awards 2012

I'm so excited to be in Toronto during the MMVAs this year for the first time! I've always watched it on TV back on the west coast and I've always wanted to be where all the action is - I'll admit, it's been on my life to-do list. Although this year I'm not actually covering it for any media outlets, I'm going to check it out as a spectator...but I definitely didn't want to wait overnight outside the MuchMusic building to wait for wristbands, so I'll just try to get a good spot on June 17 around that area.

So far the set-up is coming along and people can see it right off of Queen Street; it's actually pretty exciting! And last week, MuchMusic announced this year's performers and presenters - from TV personalities to music superstars, this year's MMVA stage will definitely be full of awesomeness.

KATY PERRY Live in Vancouver!

On July 19th, Katy Perry came to Vancouver for her final Canadian stop on her California Dreams tour. Full of confetti, many colourful wardrobe changes, and innuendo of weed brownies, she was amazing to see live. It was such a fun atmosphere, especially for those lucky fans from the audience who got to dance up on stage alongside the sweet superstar.
