MY LIFE | Fun Times in September

September was full of excitement, involving building IKEA furniture, discovering a restaurant that has "Pac-man dumplings" and a Brooklyn warehouse party hosted by Drew Barrymore. New York is never a dull moment. Take a look:

The month kicked off by officially moving into a new apartment (!!!) and living with some awesome new roommates (see below). It's nice to finally be in a place that I'll be staying for a while — after moving around so much around the city, I'm glad to have settled finally.
Shout out to the roomies for spending six hours with me building this IKEA bed...

If you didn't know this by now, I'm a little obsessed with the STORY store in Chelsea. It's a spot that changes themes every few months — this time was a collaboration with talented illustrator and Instagram sensation Donald Robertson.

I'm also a huge fan of cool street art:

I now live across from by CHLOE, a hip and trendy 100% vegan, plant-based restaurant that is all the rage at the moment. The line is seriously ways out the door...so I obviously had to give it a try. And it's pretty darn great. I had the 'Whiskey BBQ' burger (smoky portobello mushrooms & seitan, sauteed kale, onion marmalade, grilled pineapple, bourbon BBQ, potato bun)
 – it was phenomenal.

A major highlight of September was #29Rooms, the massive celebration of Refinery29's 10th Birthday. In R29 fashion, they knew how to throw a party, which was essentially a Brooklyn rave hosted by Drew Barrymore...

I had a visitor from TO! Ryerson Journalism grads unite <3 br="">

Neighborhood strolls, checking out some cool local spots:

I went to my first Ryerson event as an alum! I was super excited to get that blue and yellow scarf tbh...

And the wonderful Pac-Man dumplings I mentioned...this adorable dish can be found at Red Farm in the West Village:

Got to play around with some virtual reality at my internship, this was the result:

#INTERNLIFE | Back at R29

Image via Facebook
Over the summer, I interned at Refinery29 on the Entertainment editorial team (which was so fun!) but this fall, I made the jump over to the video team and it's been a pretty rad experience. I help out with pre-production/research and assist on sets. Here's a look inside my video production internship so far!

MY LIFE | Ryerson Alumni in NYC

I've officially joined the alumni club, even though it's already been a year since I graduated from Ryerson University — now I've got the blue and yellow scarf to prove it. I attended a New York alumni reception and was surprised that there are so many Ryerson graduates in the big Apple. I was definitely the youngest one there, but it was still a fun time!

EVENT | #29Rooms Celebrates 10 Years Of Refinery29

When you're invited to a Brooklyn rave hosted by Drew Barrymore, you don't say no.

Refinery29 celebrated the big 1-0 with A-List celebs, dedicated R29 staff and special guests in town for NYFW. They turned a warehouse in Brooklyn into an adult funhouse, complete with 29 different themed rooms, prime Instagram opps, dranks, a killer dance floor, plus a Shake Shack pop-up. Sounds like a dream, am I right?

It truly was magical.

FASHION | Betsey Johnson @ NYFW

This was my second Betsey Johnson fashion show and this one definitely upped the first. In celebration of 50 years, the SS16 show featured different fashion eras and it was so fab.

MY LIFE | One Heck Of A July

July was definitely a blur. Not sure how that happened, but it was a pretty great to say the least. Take a look at what I got up to this month:
